Is there such a thing as a best way to lose belly fat? Since it’s a journey that is different for each of us there probably isn’t one best trick, tip, or piece of advice that will motivate you to take the steps necessary to get fit and trim, but there areas you should definitely focus on.
Losing belly fat is a bit of balancing act. Much like a three legged stool there are factors you need to balance in order to meet your goals.
Eating a Correct Diet
Waking up and eating 2 donuts for breakfast every morning is a sure way to make sure the love handles never leave your side.
However, if you eat certain foods each day, and keep a ration of how much you eat, you’ll be alright.
It’s not necessarily how much you eat, it’s oftentimes more important about what you’re eating.
Getting Enough Exercise
Exercise doesn’t have to be going to the gym and feeling like a hampster on a wheel by jumping on the treadmill. However, exercise does have to be some physical activity.
Some simple things you can do each day that will add up include:
- Taking the stairs
- Parking farther away from the door
- Going for a walk on your lunch break
- Joining sports leagues at your local community center
Getting exercise is simply about finding a way to move your body and getting the blood flowing, so it shouldn’t feel like work.
If you find a way to socialize with other people while doing this, either through a Yoga class or joining a softball league, it’ll give you the same results as if you hit the gym.
These may not be the most efficient or “best” ways to lose belly fat, but they’ll be a lot easier and add up.
Reduce Stress
Stress is something that devestates even your physical health. Because stress is driven completely by the mind one would think that
You could be doing everything right by following a strict diet and hitting the gym twice a day, but if you’re constantly stressed your body will probably be in a mode that may prevent you from losing weight.
Stress is bad for several reasons which include:
- Increased liklihood of eating more
- Decrease in sleep
- More strain on your heart
- Increased liklihood of getting sick
Although it’s easier said than done, try to reduce the stress in your life so that you stay healthier on your way to loseing your belly fat.
Some easy ways to reduce stress include:
- Asking yourself how this situation will really affect your life
- Counting to 10 during a stressful situation
- Getting a stress ball
- Focusing on things you’re grateful for rather than things you’re unhappy about
Not only will decreasing your stress increase your physical state, it will often make you happier and more likely to engage in activities with other people.
