<p><strong>1. Eat Small, But Often</strong><br />
Smaller meals eatin more often keep the metabolism going and don&#8217;t strain your digestive system as much as larger meals.  They&#8217;ll also keep your stomach smaller which reduces the amount you can eat at one sitting.  Aim for 5-6 small meals a day rather than 3 large meals.</p>
<p><strong>2. Drink Lots of Water</strong><br />
Water is one of the best ways to clean our your system and keep your body running effectively.  I try to drink a gallon a day, but aim for at least a half gallon. </p>
<p><strong>3. Cut the Soda and High Fructose</strong><br />
By cutting out soda alone (if you drink one can a day) you&#8217;ll lose weight because of all the sugars.  Even though diet soda is better than regular, it still isn&#8217;t really a healthy food.</p>
<p><strong>4. Move on Up to Whole Grain</strong><br />
Whole grain carbohydrates are much better for you.  Why?  Because they haven&#8217;t been processed and there are a lot less sugars (think white flour).  There is also a lot more nutrients in whole grains rather than enriched carbohydrates.</p>
<p><strong>5. Create Accountability</strong><br />
Go on a diet with someone else so you stay accountable.  If you have a significant other, get them on board, or join a group that focuses on weight loss.  Having a support system makes it much more likely that you&#8217;ll stick to your diet.</p>
<p><strong>6. Think Long Term, Lifestyle, Not just Diet</strong><br />
If you think about a diet as a temporary thing, it&#8217;ll be just that, temporary.  If you want to lose your belly fat quick, and keep it off, you&#8217;re going to have to make a concious lifestyle choice that should continue on once you&#8217;ve lost your weight.  Stick with a diet that you feel comfortable with long term, rather than starving yourself in the short term.  The tortise wins the race with dieting as well.</p>

We&#8217;re not all perfect, and you shouldn&#8217;t have to sacrifice everything to get fit. If you go out with friends on the weekend go ahead and have a few drinks, or order a pizza.  However, just make sure you stick to only one day a week where you splurge. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>It&#8217;s been said that they&#8217;re &#8220;simply more of you to love,&#8221; but your love handles are often the hardest area of your body to shed the weight on.  So what gives?</p>
<p>Those flabby and curvaceous areas on your sides right above your jeans are often loving called &#8220;muffin tops&#8221; or &#8220;handle bars&#8221; and give the impression that you have a spare tire.  But how do you get rid of love handles effectively and without having to live at the gym?</p>
<p>The most challenging part of getting rid of love handles is that they&#8217;re often the last area of your body to shed fat.  Since fat sits on people differently it&#8217;s not uncommon to see that the midsection is one of the last areas to lose this fat.  Although it may be a bit more challenging to go the distance to get rid of your handles, it still is possible.</p>
<p>If you think you&#8217;ve tried everything, amazing diet, hours of cardio, and stress free living, I want you to do one thing&#8230; be honest with yourself.  Have you done 100% of everything you could have to lose your fat?  A lot of people will say they&#8217;re dieting, say they go to the gym everyday, and say they run five miles a day, but they often lie to others and themselves.  If you&#8217;re being completely honest, perhaps you need to either change your diet, exercise, or have wayyy too much stress in your life.</p>
<h2>Love Handle Melting Food</h2>
<p>Although counting calories works to an extent, you need to make sure what you&#8217;re eating is correct.  If you eat 2,000 calories a day, and they&#8217;re all from chocolate bars, calorie counting isn&#8217;t really doing it&#8217;s job.  However, if you&#8217;re eating that same amount of calories by mixing in the recommended fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy, then you&#8217;ll be in much better shape, and feel much better as well.</p>
<p>Calorie counting works for some because it&#8217;s something that you can chart and actually see progress on.</p>
<p>Even so some of the foods you should cut out include:</p>
<ul>
<li>High sugar foods such as candy or soft drinks</li>
<li>White breads</li>
<li>Butters and Mayo on your sandwiches</li>
<li>High cholesterol foods and meats</li>
<li>Eating a couple hours before bed</li>
<li>Eating large meals</li>
</ul>
<p>You should also be drinking at least a half gallon of water a day to help flush out toxins and make sure that you&#8217;re properly hydrated.  Especially because of the exercise you should be doing as well.</p>

<h2>Getting Proper Exercise</h2>
<p>The main thing you should focus on when burning off your love handles is cardiovascular exercise.  Cardio will work on removing fat from your body by elevating your heart rate and getting energy from your fat reserves.  That means that although ab crunches are a great way to add strength to your core, it&#8217;s not the best way to remove the fat in front of it.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll also want to add in some strength training to increase your muscle mass.  Aim for repetitions of 6-10 to build muscle which will help to boost your metabolism as well. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Alright, I&#8217;m going to be honest here.  If you&#8217;re struggling to lose your belly fat it&#8217;s not going to be easy to accomplish this task.  However, there are some ways that are easier than others.<br />
Actually, <strong>the easiest way to lose belly fat is to not realize you&#8217;re doing it at all</strong>.</p>
<p>How the heck do you do that?</p>
<p>Well it&#8217;s simple really.  Do activities that burn belly fat that are fun and take your mind off the actual belly fat burning.  Most people enjoy getting fresh air and partaking in at least some physical activity, so why not make your exercise a fun activity?</p>
<h2>Join group activities.</h2>
<p>If you&#8217;re starting to workout and aren&#8217;t the best at motivating yourself by going to the gym by yourself everyday, maybe try joining a group activity.  If you&#8217;re at the gym they may offer classes for things like zumba, pilates, yoga, or spin bike training.  These are all great ways to get social interaction while doing a physical activity. </p>
<p>Being social during working out makes your workout go quicker since you&#8217;re focused on the other people and things going on around you rather than just staring at the wall while you check if another mile has gone by on the treadmill.  Trust me, the treadmill is something many of us dread, including myself.</p>
<p>Not only are group activities a great way to make the time go by faster, but you may make some friends who are more health conscious and will encourage you as well to stay fit and trim.</p>
<h2>Join a Competition</h2>
<p>I absolutely dread running.  Running for fun is something some of my friends can do, but I can&#8217;t get off the couch to go run around the neighborhood, it&#8217;s just too boring!  However, if I sign up for a race I&#8217;m able to easily get off the couch because there&#8217;s a goal, a target date, and some accountability.  If you&#8217;re competitive, like me, joining a competitive physical sport, or a race of some sort will give you motivation to reach a goal, and the byproduct of reaching your goal will be weight loss and a lack of belly fat!</p>
<h2>Switch it Up</h2>
<p>A lot of people think they have to maintain a really strict exercise regiment to get fit, but it&#8217;s simply not true.  If your diet is up to par, you simply have to get some sort of physical exercise.  If you&#8217;re just starting and are a bit self conscious I&#8217;d encourage getting a DVD or some form of workout video that switches things up, encourages you, and shows you how to exercise properly.  </p>

<p>Losing belly fat is a bit of balancing act.  Much like a three legged stool there are factors you need to balance in order to meet your goals.</p>
<h2>Eating a Correct Diet</h2>
<p>Waking up and eating 2 donuts for breakfast every morning is a sure way to make sure the love handles never leave your side.</p>
<p>However, if you eat certain foods each day, and keep a ration of how much you eat, you&#8217;ll be alright.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not necessarily how much you eat, it&#8217;s oftentimes more important about what you&#8217;re eating.</p>
<h2>Getting Enough Exercise</h2>
<p>Exercise doesn&#8217;t have to be going to the gym and feeling like a hampster on a wheel by jumping on the treadmill.  However, exercise does have to be some physical activity.</p>
